1What Is Semax?
Semax is a synthetic heptapeptide (7 amino acids) also developed in Russia, based on a fragment of ACTH (adrenocorticotropic hormone). Unlike ACTH, which triggers cortisol release, Semax is modified to be metabolically stable without triggering the adrenal axis. It has been studied for neuroprotective effects and cognitive function in animal models and limited human research. In Russia, it is approved as a pharmaceutical for certain neurological conditions. Sold for in-vitro research purposes only outside Russia.
